David G. Danielson, President

David Danielson, president of Danielson Associates, joined the firm in 1998, became president in 2006 and has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining the firm, he was a manager in the financial services division of the accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, Massachusetts, with a primary responsibility for auditing and reviewing mutual funds and hedge funds. Before this Dave served for five years as assistant treasurer at Signature Financial Group, a specialist in third-party mutual fund administration. He began his career as a tax accountant with Putnam Investments, one of nation's largest investment management firms.

Dave advises bank executives and their directors in areas such as strategic planning, branch expansion, market analysis, new bank formation and stock valuation, as well as, traditional M&A advisory, mergers of equals and troubled bank capital raising. He has personally advised on more than 30 transactions with a total deal value of more than $1.2 billion. He also regularly addresses executives and directors on relevant banking issues through individual presentations and company sponsored seminars.

In addition to his work with established banks, Dave has been intimately involved with the formation of new banks. He consults with bank organizing groups, prepares feasibility studies, and assists in the preparation of regulatory filings. Since joining the firm he has personally assisted 15 banks in the formation process.

From 2000 to 2003, Dave was a member of the board of directors of Midstate Bancorp in Felton, Delaware and served as vice chairman and as chairman of the Audit Committee. He currently is on the board of directors of Community Bank Delaware in Lewes, Delaware and is a member of its Audit Committee.

Dave is a native of the Washington D.C. area and graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts with a degree in economics. He received a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston and was a Certified Public Accountant.
