Donald B. Jennings, Consultant

Don Jennings has over forty years experience in senior management and board representation in the banking industry. He has been a general partner of funds investing in banks and thrifts for eighteen years.

His bank management activities include positions with the Virgin Island National Bank, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands (1963-1964), Girard (Mellon) Bank, Philadelphia (1964-1966) and twenty-two years with Hanover Bank, Wilkes Barre, PA. As chairman, president and CEO he led the sale of Hanover to First Valley Bank, Bethlehem, PA in 1985. He additionally became executive vice president and a director of First Valley. In 1990 he co-founded and was chairman of Valley Community Bank, Kingston, PA. This bank was acquired in 1993 and after four additional mergers is now a branch of Wachovia/Wells Fargo. Jennings was a director of Chase Federal Bank, Miami, FL from 1993 to 1996 when it was acquired. He was a director of Cuyamaca Bank, NA, Santee, CA from 2001 to 2004 when it was acquired. He is a founding director of Leader Bank, NA, Arlington, MA since it’s opening in May 2002.

Since July 1990 Jennings has been the general partner of The Partnership for Bank Capital, L.P. He is president of the general partner of Financial Capital, L.P, formed December 2002 and managing director of the Financial Opportunities Fund, L.P., started in 2005. Both funds invest solely in de novo banks. Additionally, from 1996 through 2000 he was a co-general partner, with Ramius Capital, of the New York based Kingston Fund and Kingston Overseas Fund. The maximum Kingston funds under management was approximately $50 million. Investors included Central American individuals and entities and Middle Eastern and European banks and their clients.

Jennings graduated from Bucknell University and resides in Mountainside, NJ with his wife Susan.
