Eric Van Orden, Senior Consultant

Eric Van Orden has spent the last 17 years in financial and real estate related endeavors. Over the last 15 years he has provided consulting services to troubled banks by serving as the interim CFO of a bank on the Eastern Shore with a C&D. He has also performed independent loan reviews and assisted with loan workouts and OREO properties for other institutions. Previously, he was a CPA with a local firm that specialized in financial institutions.

During the past ten years Eric has been very involved in all facets or real estate. He built, redeveloped or remodeled dozens of units and at one point owned over 60 rental units that he managed on the Eastern Shore and in the Outer Banks. Eric also was the developer of 89 oceanfront condominium units. This experience has helped him develop the skills to assist banks with their asset quality problems.

Eric can manage all facets of a property, including acting as liaison to sales agents, restoring the property to a marketable condition, staging, bill processing and completing punch lists. Because of his CFO and CPA experience, he can also perform a financial analysis of problem credits and prepare a budget that includes the costs to make the property marketable and ultimately liquidate the collateral.

Eric graduated from Salisbury University with a B.S. degree Accounting. He lived in Salisbury, Maryland for 18 years and in 2005 relocated to Ocean City, Maryland where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
